John M. Ribarich is a graduate of University of Hawaii (B.A. 1987) and Southwestern School of law (J.D. 1996). Prior to law school Mr. Ribarich played professional volleyball in Switzerland and Germany. While in Europe he worked for the Kantanalbank gaining experience in international business.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Ribarich entered private practice in Los Angeles and for more than a decade has practiced law with an emphasis in defending against fraudulent insurance claims, sexual harassment claims, employment law, premise liability, product liability, wage/hour law and commercial litigation.
Mr. Ribarich, has a strong emphasis in litigation.
At his former firm, he was responsible for evaluation, litigation and trial of complex insurance defense matters in the areas of suspected fraud, motor vehicle and premises liability, product liability, employment law and commercial litigation. Mr. Ribarich has tried in excess of twenty trials during his civil litigation practice.
Mr. Ribarich has developed significant expertise in the area of insurance fraud defense, including the defense of numerous insurance companies through arbitration of questionable uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. Mr. Ribarich employs aggressive and vigorous techniques to defend insurers and insureds from suspected fraudulent claims, which frequently leads to voluntary dismissals of cases and claims.
In addition to being admitted to practice in the State of California, he is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Ribarich reguarly provides presentations on a variety of subjects of interest to the insurance industry.
